I have taught courses in composition, literature, and women's studies at the university level. My scholarly interest in pairing canonical texts with artifacts of material or mass culture extends to the classroom, where my syllabi often pair canonical works with popular texts, graphic narratives, and film. Through these pairings, I challenge students to explore how literary study prepares them to be better readers of their own culture.
